It’s not about price, it’s about time
Roasted coffee keeps its aroma best for a few weeks after the bag is opened. A 1 kg bag is cheaper per kilogram, but if it takes you three months to finish, the second half will have lost most of its aroma.
Estimate by brewing method
A full phin takes about 20–25 g. A shot of espresso takes about 18 g. At two cups a day, a 500 g bag lasts about 10–12 days.
Our suggestion
Just you: 250 g. A family or small office: 500 g. A café or anywhere that goes through coffee fast: 1 kg.
Every VOC coffee states its shelf life from the roast date.
